How much does it cost?

Tuition prices are covered with you when you meet with your Admissions Representative. The tuition amount does not include books, fees, and the State mandated STRF fee. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. For more information please come in or call (310) 289-5123 and make an appointment at your earliest convenience with our Financial Aid Department to discuss your financial aid options. A list of available scholarships can be found at www.Fastweb.com. You may also complete your financial aid paperwork online by visiting http://www.fafsa.ed.gov

I am a foreign student, can I Enroll?

WCUI is approved under Federal law and the INS Department to accept international students.

Because the process of enrolling International Students and securing the required immigration documents takes some time, please contact the school to begin the registration process. This process will take between 6-8 weeks.

Any documents written in languages other than English, must be first translated into English by an authorized school official or appropriate outside agency before they can be submitted to WCUI. Documents must contain an explanation of grading scales and course of study. You may contact any of the following outside agencies or an agency of your choice for translation, explanation, or equivalency services:

I don't have a high school diploma, can I take your courses?

If you do not have a high school diploma, GED or the equivalent, you will not be able to attend West Coast Ultrasound Institute. If you plan on taking the GED you will be permitted to enroll provided you sign a letter of intent to take the examination. Results of the GED test must be submitted to the Registrar within your first 30 days of enrollment or you will be terminated from your program of study.

How long will it take me to complete a program?

West Coast Ultrasound Institute operates on a quarter system. Course lengths vary depednding on the program. The average length of time is 7-8 Modules (2 years) depending on the course of intstruction and background education. Please review the qrogram description page of the program you are interested in to see the length of the program.

Am I able to be employed in any of the United States after graduation?

As a technologist you will be able to work anywhere in the United States, Canada, Great Britian and Australia. The employment of a technologist has similiar requirements in these countries. Imaging Technologists are used everywhere, but in some countries, only the Medical Doctor performs the study. The skills you will learn at WCUI will benefit you for the rest of your life, wherever you choose to go and you

can use the training to step up to a four year degree program, use the training to enter other medical

fields, such as Nursing or Radiology Technologist.
