Earlier this month, Susan Ciardullo, WCUI Regional Director of Career Services and Community Outreach, had the exciting opportunity to be a featured guest on the well-respected non-profit radio program, "Family Health Talk Show." Sponsored by the Southwest Prostate Cancer Foundation and based in Phoenix, the show airs on KXXT 1010 AM and covers a variety of topics including prostate, breast, and colon cancer, as well as more general cancer prevention and healthy living discussions led by health care professionals.
Susan was the planned guest for the first segment of an early June show, and in a stroke of luck, got to stay on air for much longer, as the second guest was lost and did not show. She took to the airwaves like a pro and showed off her radio friendly voice by talking about the WCUI Phoenix Campus's plans to become classified as a Veteran Supportive Campus. She also highlighted the school's affiliation with the low-cost community clinic Ultrasound Institute Medical Group, which offers free or low cost ultrasound scans, including free heart screenings for children who volunteer through the Pediatric Cardiac Sonography program, which is set to begin in July at the Phoenix Campus.
We are proud that Susan represented WCUI in such an informative and professional manner on-air, and would not be surprised if she starting doing voice-over work on the side. The SWPCF Executive Director Fred Taylor, and radio show staff were very pleased with the interview and have invited WCUI's CEO and Beverly Hills Campus director to be a featured guest in the near future.
