West Coast Ultrasound Institute - Job Placement

Career Services

WCUI maintains a policy of career assistance to all students who graduate. Although we do not make job promises or guarantees of employment, the Career Services Coordinator, makes an attempt to place every graduate.

The Career Services Department offers assistance with resume development, interview techniques, job search techniques, “dress for success” tips, and mock interview practice sessions. In short, the goal of WCUI is to equip the student with the skills (both technical and personal) necessary to obtain employment in their given field. An ongoing, updated list of employment opportunities (both local and nationwide) is also available to those students who desire them.

The reputation of WCUI will grow as its students are hired by responsible employers and become active, respected members of the field. For this reason and out of concern for our students and pride in our own work, the Career Services Coordinator takes their role in placement assistance very seriously.

WCUI maintains verifiable records of initial employment of its graduates. These records are kept for documentation in the student’s placement file.

Student Services

Advising Students:

The faculty and staff are available to help students with any problem that could have an adverse effect on their ability to successfully complete the course. Problems which are beyond the scope of the staff will be handed on to various agencies specializing in that area.

Housing and Child Care:

WCUI does not provide housing or child care assistance.

Student Lounge:

The student lounge is located inside the facility, providing students with a break room with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There are snack and beverage vending machines located on the 5th floor.

Tutoring:

Tutoring is available to students by submitting a written request to their instructor. A tutoring schedule is determined by class and instructor availability. The request for tutoring must be approved by the Director of Education, at no extra charge for the student.
